Tools that I can't live without in my kitchen

Obviously, there are certainly things in your kitchen that you must have in order to function - mixing bowls, measuring cups, a mixer, etc.  But, there are also certain items that I just couldn't live without and that I have learned to rely on.  Here are just a few of the items that have come to make my life in my kitchen so much easier!!

I found this at Walmart.  It is a batter bowl.  Just the right size for most of the batters that I make and it has a spout!!  It holds 2 quarts of batter - perfect!!

Not very attractive, is it?  But, oh boy, does it ever do its job!!  I make a lot of bread and this is great for letting bread rise!!  I found this on eBay.  It is a 6 quart food container - just the right size for letting bread and pizza dough rise.  I got one with a cover, though I hardly ever use the cover.  If you do order one of these, make sure it is food grade.

A food scale.  I found this on Amazon.  Very inexpensive.  A lot of the bread recipes these days are done by weights not by measures.  This one can do both ounces and grams.  I think this was under $25.

Egg separator from Pampered Chef.  A life saver if you are making ice cream and you have to use a dozen egg yokes!!  Very inexpensive -  only $7.00.  The yolk stays in the coils while the white slips through - ingenious!!  I bought myself a Cuisinart ice cream maker for Christmas and this little tool has been a blessing!!

I raise a small herd of Dairy Goats and use their milk to make our wonderful soaps, lotions, fudge, cheese and ice cream.
I am also a stay-at-home Mom.  I will never be June Cleaver, though I try to be.  Our house has that "lived in" look, but it is filled with love.  I love my family, country music, baking, gardening, sewing, quilting, and, of course, my goats!  Welcome to my world!
