Soap Classes?

5/1/2012

I have been asked numerous times if I will ever offer soap classes.  I wish I could.  I would love to teach you all how to make soap.  BUT . . . there is alway a BUT isn't there!  First of all, I am not set up for classes.  I work out of my home in a dingy basement that my family affectionately calls my "laboratory" (no one dares ventures down there!).  Secondly, my insurance costs would make Bill Gates blush!  Thirdly, raw soap burns!  Trust me, I KNOW!!  I have been burned many a time by raw soap splatter - it is a chemical burn and it hurts!!

Don't even ask - I will not give out my recipe.  Sorry.  I worked over a year creating this recipe.  If Procter & Gamble will give you the recipe for Ivory soap, I will give you my recipe for my soap.  So until then, sorry!  Maybe when I retire, I will pass the recipe on.  But, don't think I am retiring anytime soon.

Raising goats were never in "the plan."  If you had told me 12 years ago that I would be raising goats, I would have laughed in your face!  But, at a Valentine's Day Party at my son's Kindergarten, the local Vet showed up with two pygmy goats.  As the saying goes, it was love at first sight.  And the rest is history . . .
