Finally, Spring has come!!  All my daffodils are blooming - don't they look pretty!!  And I don't have to wear ten thousand layers of clothes when I go out now and waddle over to the goat pens!!

I had so much fun yesterday playing in my gardens.  Haven't done that in a long time!!  The weather was just perfect.  I threw a bunch of chicken poop in each of my gardens.  Chicken poop is the best fertilizer around and I get it for free!!  Of course, now my yard smells like . . . well, not very pleasant but that will pass in a day or two!!

I also moved 6 gooseberry bushes and 4 blackberry bushes to new locations.  Hopefully, they will do better in these spots and I can have gooseberry jam this summer.

My blueberry bushes looked like they survived the winter and they are budding very niciely - thank you very much!!  The plum tree in the back yard is looking really good!!  So, hopefully, I can get to the plums before the deers do.

Today I am thinking I might plant some lettuce.  Boy, I love be back in my garden!!  Life is good again!

Raising goats were never in "the plan."  If you had told me 12 years ago that I would be raising goats, I would have laughed in your face!  But, at a Valentine's Day Party at my son's Kindergarten, the local Vet showed up with two pygmy goats.  As the saying goes, it was love at first sight.  And the rest is history . . .
