And, fortunately, my goats waited until I got home to have their babies!!! And speaking of the babies, can't forget the two babies that knocked over the heat lamp and set my barn on fire!
This year I decided to drop the Anderson Farmer's Market and concentrate on the Hyde Park Famer's Market. But late in the Fall, I was approached by the Loveland Farmer's Market and they "made me an offer I couldn't refuse" and, once again, I am doing two excellent farmer's markets! And now I am doing two very profitable Winter Markets - who would have thought Winter Markets would be that good!
Life sent me a few "surprises." A routine visit to the gynecologist found a suspicious lesion that suggested vulvar cancer. A biopsy was done and after a long, tense week of waiting, the result was benign - thank you Lord!! It was also suggested that due to my family history that I have a colonoscopy (oh yeah!!). My older sister recently had precancerous polyups removed, my father had colon cancer, and his mother died of colon cancer. So the odds were not in my favor. So on December 13, I had the procedure done. Again, the good Lord was smiling down on me - clean as a whistle!!
As for my sailor, we had several wonderful visits from him in July, at Thanksgiving and at Christmas!!
And 3 goats gave me 5 baby goats for Christmas!! 4 born Christsmas Eve (unfortunately, one died ) - Josephine, Kris and Kringle and 2 born Christmas Day - Holly and Noelle.
So this has been quite a year!!
I try not to worry about all this talk of the "Fiscal Cliff" we are all going over and the idiots in Washington who have no clue how to solve this!! I am going to put my trust in the good Lord! He has gotten me through 2012 in pretty good shape and He will do the same in 2013! May God Bless you and your family in the coming year! Happy 2013!!
