So many things I would love to tell her and show her.
Hey, Mom!! Remember you taught me how to can tomatoes and make applesauce? Well, I make homemade jams and jellies AND people are actually buying my jams and jellies!! Isn't that amazing!!!
Like you, I have a love for all animals (except snakes which you also taught me to fear - LOL!!) and now I raise goats and chickens. You would love the baby goats!! And I milk the goats and make soaps, lotions and all sorts of goat's milk products. AND I have even had people in Canada buying my products!! Can you believe that Mom!!
I am so much like you. You taught me to sew when I was only 5 years old. And now, 59 years later, I am still sewing. Still using the Sears Kenmore sewing machine I bought when I was 16 years from the money I earned working at McDonalds. Like you, I love working in my garden. Bobby, my husband, built me 5 raised gardens were I grow tomatoes, zucchini, peppers and green beans that I can for the winter. Bobby is the "green thumb" of the family when it comes to flowers.
And most importantly, I did recover from anoxeria. Even though all the doctors told me that I couldn't have kids, I had a son. Mom, oh how I wish you could see Nathan. You would be so proud!!! He went around the world on an aircraft carrier!! And, Mom, I think you would like this, he carried Dad's dog tags in his pocket the entire trip. He turned out to a wonderful young man - oh how I wish you could have known him.
I love you so much and miss you terribly. I know someday we will be together.
