A picture of one of my blueberry bushes. You see all those little white flowers? Well, in about a month from now those little white flowers will be blueberries. It is going to be a great year for blueberries!! Can you say blueberry jam!!!
Our yard is covered with these fragrant bushes and they smell wonderful!! I love walking over to the goat pens because I have to walk past the honeysuckle bushes. I sometimes stop and take in their beautiful fragrance. It amazes me that some people think that the honeysuckle is a nuisance.
One of the farmers was talking to my husband yesterday about a government program that pays landowners to destroy the honeysuckle bushes because they are taking over the land. How sad! I guess I better enjoy them while I can!
Oh how I love Spring mornings! We normally will sleep with the windows open. So we awaken to all the sounds of nature in all its glory! So much better than any darn alarm clock or those "mood" machines!!
I love listening to the birds in the morning - makes me wonder what are they talking about. Are they wishing each other a good day or just gossping!
Somehow the air always seems "cleaner" or "crisp" in the morning. Don't ask me how air can be "crisp" - it just does!
And there is that expectation that something good is going to happen. And you just can't help but thank God for giving you such a beautiful morning to enjoy!
Raising goats were never in "the plan." If you had told me 12 years ago that I would be raising goats, I would have laughed in your face! But, at a Valentine's Day Party at my son's Kindergarten, the local Vet showed up with two pygmy goats. As the saying goes, it was love at first sight. And the rest is history . . .
